Maisie is a dog. She's my dog, although if I was being pedantic I should really describe her as an 'it,' because she's had the op, if you know what I mean. But what pet owner would ever refer to their dog as an 'it?' It is impersonal, unfriendly and quite frankly daft. So, Maisie the girl, is my dog, and as an English Springer Spaniel she bounces a lot, especially when she's in fields where the crops are twice the height of her. That's where the breed gets the name — spring, bounce — this could be an advert for a cleaning product.
When she's in very long grass she disappears, but every now and again, I'll catch sight of her ears for they seem to have a life of their own. Indeed it's her ears that give her character.
We all have our own fundamental characteristics — the things that make us special and possibly different from others. Embrace your uniqueness, that specialness. It's what makes you, you.
Maisie having the time of her life in the field.
